Ashli and Alyssa are married and

 Whitney is all grown up (still living at home) working and going to school!

Luckily they have Trenton too!

Ian LOVES sports, so he gets to teach Trent everything he knows and loves.

Ian is one of the best Grandpa's I know!

Just look at this picture! I truly believe that All the best comes from somewhere inside when we have grandbabies! Everything that makes the world a little better place!

But the best example came from Ian! He has earned his Masters and is now working on his Doctorate.

Look dont ask me the details, cuz I am not sure!

I just know he is an inspiration to those around him!

My Dear Friend Mandy!

Mandy is a sweet friend who I really enjoy chatting with. 

She has a cool head, I guess she has to, she has 6 kids!!

Amazing!

This is one of her favorite cookbooks (mine too).

We got together with Whitney (her sil my friend) and made some meals from here and froze them.

Whoo hoo for frozen meals when life is hectic!

She has a cute web site for her recipes,

which is great because I like love her recipes!

They aren't hard and I know they are good.

 I Love, love, love her sausage and peppers, love her smoothies and there is even one for Adobo.

Her mother in law is a great cook and has taught her some great recipes from

Puerto Rico.

Chrissy's Chocolate Carmel Brownies!!!

Ok are you ready for the tastiest, devilish, rich brownies you ever have?

Get ready!  I am going to share!

 

1. 
   
   1 -14 oz bag of caramels (unwrapped)
   
   
   
2. 
   
   5oz can evaporated milk
   
   
   
3. 
   
   1 box chocolate cake mix (devils food, double chocolate, doesn't matter what kind)
   
   
   
4. 
   
   One stick butter mellted
   
   
   
5. 
   
   1 cup chocolate chips
   
   
   
6. 
   
   mini cupcake holders
   
   
   

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Directions

1. Put aside 1/4 cup evaporated milk
2. In large bowl mix remaining milk, cake mix, and melted butter
3. Grease the bottom of a 9x13 baking pan.  Line with foil.  Grease the top and sides of the foil
4. Press half the cake mixture into the pan. It will be thick.  You can wet your fingers or a metal spatula to help you press it if needed.
5. Bake 8 min.
6. Melt caramels with 1/4 cup evaporated milk in microwave.  Stir until smooth.
7. Pour caramels over baked cake mix.
8. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the caramel.
9. Distribute remaining cake mix on top.  You have to kind of crumble it around or break off little pieces and drop it on top. Pat down batter and try to push it around to cover. Dont worry if every spot isnt covered.
10. Baked at 350 for 18 minutes.
11. Cool. Put in fridge till cold.  DO NOT TRY TO CUT WHEN WARM!!!
12. Lift foil out of pan with brownies.
13. Peel off the foil and cut into small bieces on cutting board.
14. Put into the mini cupcake holders.  If you dont they may stick together when left out at room temp.

Fiesta Chicken

Ingredients

• 
  
  3 Cups cooked and cubed chicken breast  (short on time? buy a rotisseri chicken)
  
  
  
• 
  
  2 cans cream of chiken soup + a splash of milk to loosen it
  
  
  
• 
  
  1-16 oz tub of sour  cream
  
  
  
• 
  
  1/2 cup salsa (or to taste, some like it hot!)
  
  
  
• 
  
  1 can diced green chiliis (they are mild)
  
  
  
• 
  
  2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, (more if you want) save 3/4 cup
  
  
  
• 
  
  2 bell peppers diced ( I like to use different  colors-thense fiesta!)
  
  
  
• 
  
  1 onion chopped
  
  
  
• 
  
  Adoobo to taste ( I really like this stuff) [if you cannot get Adobo then go here she makes her own, so good!]
  
  
  
• 
  
  24 Corn tortilla sliced nto 1 inch strips
  
  
  

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl except for 3/4 cup of chees and tortilla stripss.  Add a splash of milk so it will blend better.
2. Spread some mixture on the bottom of a 9x13 pan. 
3. Add A layer of tortilla stripss.
4. Layer sauce agaian continue until all ingredients were used ending with sauce.
5. Sprink resered cheese on top.
6. Bake at 350 degrees until hot and bubbly approx. 35 to 45 min.

We serve with a nice salad and refried beans, sometimes when we have a big crowd we serve spanish rice.  If Arli is around I have no choice!

So get this party started! and enjoy!!!

Where do they come from?

I took a break from Law and Order tonight because it was a rerun, aren't they all this week?

I decided to jump on the computer.

(I didn't actually jump on the dang thing because then it wouldn't work at all anymore),

Here is an interesting place to go.

I was looking at my blog and decided to look at this map on the feedjit live traffic feed.

Now I know I am not some amazing blog writer,

I don't have family all over the world and

my pictures aren't spectacular.

However, it is AMAZING to see where people have come from to read my blog.

I am sure most of it is on accident, but golly it is fun!

Maybe someday it will be covered with followers, browsers and friends.

I'll let you know, now back to Law and Order.

I didn't win it so I bought it!

They will e-mail it to me.

I don't have to wait to get it in the mail.

I hate snail mail!

In fact I haven't checked my e-mail yet today, it might be there.

I have a TV station that shows them. But I am not happy with the the new Drama so I might be sitting at this very computer (notice Verizon guy thinks its OK to use said computer right now) and watch a new one.

I love the drama. I have watched others.

They make you laugh and cry (OK sometimes) but it is a different way to look at things. Reading the translations will give you a good laugh too! I realize I have it pretty good because I don't have to sleep on the floor every night. I hate seafood and they have seafood pretty much for all meals!

UGH! I guess I would have to get used to it!

Rick is a Great Gardner!

I have to give him a lot of credit!

I love going outside with him and looking at the garden as it grows and grows.

It is fun to pick the vegetables as they ripen.

My favorite are the cherry tomatoes. They don't make it into the house, I eat them straight from the garden. MMMM!
Corn, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, bell peppers, chili peppers, basil...

I am so proud that we could harvest such a bounty.

I just wish I could can it.

Anyone know how to can a great salsa or spaghetti sauce?

As you can see from the posts recently that my family is large and getting larger by the day.

Although I dont THINK anyone is expecting a baby right now we have 3 young ladies that could.

But just remember the term YOUNG.

Thats what I called my younger brother Nathan for a good portion of his life.

Why on earth would a kindly, older sister insist on giving her younger brother of 13 years such a name?

It could be his given name...Nathan gave me the idea.

Or it could be I was so desperate to find a nickname that was different I went to great extremes.

But truthfully it was none of the above.

It was simply the size and shape of his head.

I know, it isnt nice to tease a hairless child with the head the shape of a potato.

But it fit him sooo well!

"Terra (Prestons mommy) sells things on ebay and does really well with it. She is a great bargain shopper and turns around and makes a good profit. So our kids will see things that she has bought and will show interest in them.

Sometimes, when they are toys, they will originally think that they must be their toys. Well today we were driving in the van when Terra sees Preston pick up a toy in it's box and Terra tells him to put it down because it is for ebay. Well after hearing this about several items he askes us if he can go over to "ebay's house" to play with all the neat toys.

For who knows how long, Preston has been thinking that we have been two-timing him and buying some boy named ebay all sorts of neat things and he must have been wondering why we keep buying this boy so many more toys than he gets and he hasn't even met him.

The poor boy thought we were showing favoritism to a boy who doesn't even exist."
